Know the Quality of Your Data

ZEMA’s Data Validation application provides a launch page Dashboard that summarizes the status of the ZEMA database. The application features colour indicators and filters that help you to see what checks are passing and failing. Checks include:

  • Completeness – Is there enough data being collected?
  • Correctness -- Is the data within acceptable boundaries?
  • Timeliness -- Is the data on time?
  • Newness -- Is the data different than the previous day?

Customizable Validation Rules

Users can easily create a wide variety of custom based rules according to the needs and tolerances of the organization. Build data validation routines using multiple tests and conditions such as thresholds, percentage checks, and standard deviations These rules can be applied against any data report and will be automatically tested as data comes into the system.

Detailed Reporting

Data Validation comes complete with detailed reporting on the different checks that it performs. You’ll find a dedicated screen to report on Completeness, Timeliness and Correctness. Filter your results using your predefined watch lists limiting what you see to what you want to see.

Create Watch Lists

Using the Watch List feature of Data Validation, you can create predefined groups of reports that limit how much information you need to see. You can group by commodity, task, responsibility or any other logical organization of information. Once you've created and saved your watch list, you can save and use them.

Ongoing alerts

With Data Validation, you can keep up to date with your data through an intuitive dashboard that displays the health of the data in real-time. Create e-mail alerts when data fails quality checks, including corrections and delayed data.
