Nader leads the product design and development of the ZEMA Solution—the premier offering in enterprise data management software and services. Nader previously led ZE’s Applications Support, Managed and Hosted Services, and Corporate Infrastructure. Nader played a crucial role in bolstering the operations of ZE’s Client Services, using his impressive technology background to support ZE’s internal infrastructure and service improvement initiatives.

Nader was instrumental in the design and development of what is known today as the ZE Cloud, a hassle-free solution that provides clients with access to a dedicated, full-featured deployment of ZEMA that is hosted on ZE’s state-of-the-art private cloud. As Chief Product Officer, Nader is utilizing his previous experience supporting ZEMA to drive the large team of developers, QA analysts, business analysts, database specialists, and technology experts he now manages, all of whom work together to continually deliver enhancements to the ZEMA software suite for a better ZEMA user experience.

Alessandro Vitelli is an independent reporter and columnist specialising in climate and energy policy and markets for nearly 20 years. He writes about the spread of carbon markets – both voluntary and compliance – as well as the UNFCCC international climate process. Alessandro covered the development of the first UN carbon credit market under the Kyoto Protocol and observed the negotiations over the Paris Agreement and its Article 6 markets at close range. He has also worked on the EU emissions trading system since its inception, as well as markets in the UK, the United States and elsewhere in the world.

Summary: The idea here is to explain that the concept of net zero doesn’t mean that we can keep on emitting and just buy offsets: it means that we have to reduce CO2 as much as possible – which includes removing it when we can, and then offset those remaining hard-to-abate emissions. So the message is that offsets are not a get-out-of-jail-free card, and that, while they are good because they stop emissions from rising any further, they don’t do anything to reduce atmospheric CO2 concentration.

Bruno Brunetti is leading the S&P Global Low Carbon electricity analytics initiative, which includes forecasting services for renewables power capture prices for wind and solar plants across the globe, PPAs and environmental commodities. Bruno has spent over 5 years at S&P Global Platts, leading the global wind and solar outlooks, while also expanding the analytics coverage into global power markets.

Bruno spent over 15 years at PIRA Energy Group, now part of S&P Global, where he launched and managed the PIRA’s European Electricity Service, which provides market insights into the developments of power generation, demand, cross-border trading, and prices for Europe’s most relevant markets.

Bruno graduated magna cum laude inan economics and management from Bari University (Italy) and obtained a masters in energy economics from the ENSPM/Institut Français du Pétrole (Paris)

James has over a decade’s experience in the energy industry, working as a reporter, analyst, business development manager and consultant. Since joining ICIS in 2012 he has specialized in coverage of natural gas and LNG markets, as well as branching into power market and sustainability issues.

With ICIS, James has largely focused on LNG and global gas markets, firstly a market reporter and then as the editor of the ICIS Mexico Energy Report. Since 2018 he has engaged more directly with customers in analytical and commercially focused duties, initially as Senior Energy Analyst and then Energy Market Development Manager.

As a reporter James has published articles in the energy industry for a range of different publications such as Business News Americas and the Economist Intelligence Unit. He has also been featured in articles published by Forbes Magazine, Natural Gas World, Reuters, Platts Gas Daily and The Los Angeles Times.

He has also fulfilled a range of different advisory roles with the Southern Gas Association, International Society for Mexican Energy and Gulf Coast Power Association.

Aiman El-Ramly, MBA, CMC, Chief Business Officer, ZE PowerGroup has been an active member of the energy and commodities industries for 26 years, who has a significant understanding of what is needed for corporations to run effectively. ZE PowerGroup is the developer of the ZEMA enterprise software for data management and business process automation. Aiman’s team supports a private cloud where client specific end to end data solutions are hosted.

Aiman is also the Chief Operating Officer for ZE Power Engineering, ZE’s engineering design firm for utilities. He currently volunteers as a director for the BC Soccer Association, and also serves as the Chair of its High-Performance Soccer Development Committee. He holds an MBA from Royal Roads University and a BA in Psychology from the University of British Columbia.

David has over 30 years of experience in technology development, power markets, and energy industry leadership which has helped him to keep Adapt2 ahead of the competition, when it comes to technology. David has served on the NAESB Board of Directors and also was responsible for the technology behind the first 3 ISOs; California ISO, NYISO, and Ontario.

David has extensive education in AI and Machine Learning as it relates to Power Trading and works closely with many power market participants to automate their operations around ISO/RTO tasks. In his spare time, David enjoys relaxing spending time with his children, running, skiing, and serves as the chair of USA Floorball.

Cade is a successful entrepreneur developing marketable services for the wholesale and retail energy markets from start up to multi-million dollar companies. Led companies business and technical strategies by providing vision and steady, confident leadership. Driving efficiencies in the energy industry and within individual client companies by developing and implementing standards and model business practices in combination with sound technical solutions.

Drew leverages over 20 years of experience in commodities trading, financial risk management, and corporate finance leadership to identify and implement the best solutions for our clients. Drew joined Mobius from AK Steel, where he was responsible for the build out and leadership of AK’s financial hedging and risk management functions. In addition to his risk management responsibilities, Drew led corporate development, including multiple acquisitions and divestitures, financial oversight of subsidiaries and international operations, and served on the Boards of several metals processing and service center businesses including Spartan Steel Coatings, Combined Metals of Chicago, and Vicks Metals. Prior to entering the corporate world, Drew spent 15 years in institutional sales and trading. After beginning his career as an options market maker and member of the Chicago Board of Trade, he moved off the floor into trading and leadership roles including at RBC Capital Markets, where as Director of Commodities Trading he led several desks as well as the commodities quantitative analysis group. In his spare time, Drew enjoys relaxing with family, travel, skiing, and endurance sports, having completed several triathlons including a full course Ironman.

Brian Beebe (Houston) is Managing Director at Evolution Markets. He leads a team specializing in structured transactions, including renewable and general wholesale power as well as carbon-emissions related risks. Before joining Evolution Markets, he held various management, origination, and trading roles with Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, Trumarx Data Partners, Merrill Lynch Commodities, ACES, Southern Company Energy (Mirant), and SEI Investments.

Brian has a BA from Amherst College and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business.

Roman Kramarchuk leads efforts to analyze the impacts of the energy transition – driven by policy changes and technology advancements – on the energy sector, with special focus on clean energy technologies (i.e. hydrogen, stationary storage, electric vehicles/alternative transport, renewables, etc.). He oversees Future Energy Outlooks content, advising clients on medium and long term energy market views (including reference case and 2 degree scenarios). Roman launched and continues to oversee the Greenhouse Gas and North American Environmental Markets – content areas - covering analytics and outlooks around carbon/environmental markets & policies.

Prior to joining PIRA, now part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, he was at the U.S. EPA, developing key power plant and industrial emissions regulations at the Clean Air Markets Division. With PG&E and before that at PA Consulting / PHB Hagler Bailly, he evaluated strategies regarding power sector fuel choice, capital investments and trading. Roman also worked on international projects to develop power markets and regulatory capacity in Ukraine, Armenia and India. At the Federal Reserve Board, Roman analyzed trends in industrial production.

He has an M.P.P. from the Harvard Kennedy School and a B.A. in economics and B.S.E. in systems engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Stefan leads Argus‘ Hydrogen and Future Fuels service on the editorial side. He has been with Argus for more than six years and covered European natural gas markets before shifting his focus to hydrogen and its derivatives. Prior to this, he worked for an investment research company in London and studied in Maastricht, Leeds and London.

Jason joined ZE in 2015 and leads the Product Management team. He brings over 15 years of product development experience in both the Logistics and Defense industries.

Jason works closely with all product stakeholders to ensure that the clients’ business requirements are fully understood and translated accurately to the development team. Jason is responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition of the award-winning ZEMA™ data integration and analytics platform.
