Ron Crean,

VP Commercial,
Windward

Ron has worked across the maritime industry from tanker chartering through to maritime information and AI since 1994. He holds a BSc(Hons) in Maritime Business & Marine Law from the University of Plymouth, an MBA from Cass Business School, London and an MSc in Business & Management Research from Henley Business School. As a Chartered Shipbroker and through subsequent global business development roles, he has developed business in 30+ countries in maritime and energy related businesses. In his previous roles as a VP at IHS Markit and Group Head of Marketing at Associated British Ports, he led teams focused on using data analytics to help customers drive better decisions. He was also one of the pioneers of using AIS data to track commercial shipping as commercial lead of AISLive.com in 2004 from startup, the first global ship tracking service to use AIS which was subsequently sold to IHS. Joining Windward, the maritime analytics company in 2019, he now leads the Commercial function as Vice President.

Arthur is the senior freight analyst at Vortexa, with a background in freight markets and data analysis. Prior to joining Vortexa, Arthur was a Senior Pricing Specialist on the Freight desk at S&P Global Platts, covering dirty and clean tanker markets. Arthur holds an MSc in Energy Management from ESCP Europe and a Foundation Diploma in Tanker Chartering from the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.

Alex Younevitch,

Global Head of Freight
Argus Media Inc.

Alex Younevitch is the Global Head of Freight at Argus, responsible for the strategy, editorial coverage, market engagement and adoption of Freight & Transportation services at Argus Media. Prior to joining Argus in February 2020, Alex was head of EMEA shipping at S&P Global Platts, overseeing over 100 of daily freight assessments and three daily publications. He drove the rapid expansion of the Platts freight portfolio in the tankers, dry bulk and container markets. Alex previously worked as a tanker broker at Gibson Shipbrokers. Alex has a 1st class BA Honours degree in International Supply Chain and Shipping Management from the University of Plymouth.
