ZE Launches Help Africa Fundraising Program
October 17, 2011 – Richmond, B.C. – The news of Africa’s worst drought in 60 years reached a global audience. Subsequent issues of the drought including famine, wide spread illness and increased violence made the drought a severe humanitarian emergency. When the news reached ZE PowerGroup Inc. (ZE), its management and employees were moved to organize a program that would help those in desperate need of basic necessities. ZE launched a fundraising program in early August to support CARE Canada in providing relief to Africa’s affected regions.
ZE is pleased to share that its “Help Africa! Fundraising Program” was a great success – raising $16, 200. With the Canadian government matching ZE’s contribution, the final numbers amounted to over $32,000 which will be sent to the disaster area for relief. In past fund-raising programs, ZE raised $15,085 for disaster relief in Haiti and $8,075 for Pakistan.
ZE would like to thank everybody for their contributions. The funds raised have set a new record for ZE program contributions. The culture of ZE which fosters innovation, ambition and team work has once again shown that small individual efforts can amount to great success.
