ZE PowerGroup Inc Announces Automation for Pricing of CME Group Contracts
ZE PowerGroup Inc. (ZE), developer of the enterprise data management software the ZEMA Suite, announced today it is providing CME Group, the world’s leading and most diverse derivatives marketplace, with an automation tool that will enhance the efficiency of deriving settlement pricing for key natural gas basis and power futures, offered via CME ClearPort.
CME Group sought a software solution that could automate the collection and analysis of multiple inputs into the daily settlement methodology for its products. Using ZEMA, CME Group can now efficiently manage within one platform the logic and the CME Group methodologies contributing to daily settlements.
ZEMA provides CME Group with a platform for the application of advanced algorithms deriving prices from multiple data channels, including proprietary data, broker data and other market sources. In addition to providing automated algorithm execution, ZEMA automates the publication of prices to CME Group Clearing systems.
ZEMA will also maintain a database of historical data, derived data and pricing algorithm logic that assist CME Group in managing its auditing and regulatory requirements. CME Group’s implementation highlights ZEMA’s flexibility and ability to automate the data collection, analysis and integration for a broad range of data to price highly complex cleared derivatives.
Michal Peliwo, ZE Director of Business Solutions, comments: “We are extremely proud of the end result of this implementation. Global market participants rely on CME Group’s integrity and accuracy in daily settlement prices. The fact that the ZEMA solution is a contributor to CME Group’s widely recognized benchmark prices highlights the quality of our platform. Since many of our other customers use their own implementation of ZEMA to collect data generated by CME Group’s ZEMA solution, we are inherently familiar with the global market’s need for reliable data, and we are pleased that ZEMA can complement CME Group’s established and trusted practices.”
