ZE PowerGroup Inc launches a "ZE Goes Green" campaign
May 28, 2007 – Richmond, B.C. − ZE PowerGroup Inc. (ZE) is pleased to announce the adoption of a hybrid vehicle campaign in support of the sustainability of the environment. The “ZE Goes Green” campaign encourages ZE’s employees to select a hybrid car on their next vehicle purchase. ZE will subsidize an equivalent amount of funding that the federal government provides upon a hybrid purchase by its staff. Now ZE employees can own a hybrid vehicle at a much lower cost.
Although vehicle emission is only one of the many detrimental factors to the environment, ZE understands that every proactive effort in reducing it can make a beneficial change globally. Having been in the energy industry for 12 years, the company is closely related to the environment and is willing to take on the responsibility of becoming sustainable. Now ZE takes the initiative to become an environmental-friendly organization to support and ensure that economic development today is more compatible with resource supply in the future.
Carbon dioxide from vehicle emissions is one of the major pollutants that cause global warming. Hybrid vehicles were introduced as an innovative response to this global situation. The most common type of hybrid now is the gasoline-electric hybrid which can reduce CO2 emission to about 50% per vehicle. In addition, this environmental-friendly invention uses “regenerative braking” system to increase energy efficiency. Whenever a driver brakes, the electric motor captures energy from braking and stores it in the battery.
